Most of the event providers provide a “category” field for events. iCal even allow multiple categories for events. Thus, they reflect more a “tag” in Discourse vocabulary.
Would it be possible for the integration component to crawl the “categories” from the providers, and then allow the discourse admin to map them to tags ?
The easiest UI i can think of would be to add tags column in the «Connections» page (all those tags will be auto-added) and to allow the admin to filter not only from the title but also from the event categories. Then, mapping would consist of adding multiple connections, each one with their own filters and list of tags.
