Similar to the official discourse events plugin it would be nice to have a going/maybe/not going RSVP option. It would be a nice bonus if forum admins would be able to change the wording on all three options.

I agree that would be helpful! The official plugin has several useful UI/UX features that would be nice to incorporate in our Events plugin.
Indeed! I find myself wanting combination of the two, I prefer the presentation of pavilions plugin in a thread and the calendar functionality but am really missing some more advanced calendar attendee interaction like offered in the official plugin.
